Symposium on Nursing Education, Research & Practice

The College of Nursing – Jeddah (CON-J) organized a symposium on contemporary trends and issues in nursing education, research and clinical practice at a national level. This symposium corresponded with the annual meeting of the Scientific Association of Arab Nursing Colleges (SAANC) which CON-J hosted on Dec. 16-17, 2014. The members of SAANC were deans of colleges of nursing from different Arab countries (i.e., Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Tunisia, Palestine, Iraq, Bahrain, Oman, Dubai, and Saudi Arabia).

The symposium provided 6 CME Hours and a great opportunity for participants to exchange knowledge and experiences, and to meet with regional Deans of Arab Nursing Colleges.

The objectives of the symposium were to: 

  1. Discuss contemporary issues related to leadership in nursing education and practice.
  2. Discuss contemporary issues, and challenges in nursing education, practice and research.
  3. Present evidence-based challenges and innovative solution in clinical practice.

The scientific program was made up of oral presentations and one workshop. Faculty members and nurses from all specialties were invited to join this national symposium.
