Maternity Activity


The Women and Newborn Health Nursing Course conducted an awareness activity at the Outpatient building, at National Guard Hospital on Thursday 01/05/2017. The activity included three stations titled: antenatal, postnatal and breast cancer. In each station, group of students provided health education in addition to answering women‘s questions under the supervision of Dr. Abeer Orabi. Aims of the activity were as the following:

  • To increase womens’ awareness regarding the importance of antenatal care and postnatal care either for low risk or high risk pregnancy.

  • To increase womens’ awareness regarding breast cancer (incidence, risk factors, breast self-exam, mammography and abnormal findings).
