Biography

Dr. Khulud Abudawood is a medical-surgical assistant professor at King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences, College of Nursing-Jeddah. She obtained her Bachelor\\\'s degree from King Abdulaziz University. Her Master’s degree was obtained from The University of Pennsylvania in Adult-Gerontology Clinical Nurse Specialist with a minor in Palliative Care. She received her Ph.D. in Nursing and Clinical Translational Sciences Research in 2019 from the University of Florida, USA. Her goal is to help nurses to provide the best care for patients and their families. Her research interest involves pain assessment and management in adults with cancer and sickle cell disease. She made a few publications over the past years that emphasized discrimination and stigma during pain assessment and management in the clinical setting.

Interests

  • My research interest focued on patients with chronic pain such as sickle cell disease and cancer. Also, I am interested in both quantitative and qualitative research methods in academic and clinical settings.
