Under the auspice of the dean Dr/ Tagwa Omer, College of Nursing –Jeddah Celebrated with Gulf Nursing Day on Wednesday 13 March, 2019 with the organization of Alumni Relations Unit. The event theme was “Nursing Leading Voice – Health for All”. The aim of the event is for shedding light on the achievements accomplished of nurses and efforts exerted in the nursing field and upgrading the profession of nursing in the different health establishments of the country. With the participation of more than 200 people including external visitors, college graduates, hospital representative, nursing students in addition to CONJ community. Many hospitals were participated in career opportunities and advancement corners including: King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre, King Abdullah Medical City – Makah, Security Forces Hospital – Makkah, International Medical Centre, Jeddah Dialysis Center, Ministry of Health.
In addition CON-J Scholar participated as speakers to share their experience as professional nurses. They were participated in the celebration program with presentation about: Saudi nurses: between challenges and opportunities, Role transition: from student to professional nurse, and Nurses’ crucial role in promoting health for all. Many more, master students and undergraduate students of different nursing courses participated in the celebration by presenting their nursing specialties and related career tips and opportunities for advancement. Also college units such as; Community service unit, Academic counseling and Library unit participated in the celebration by presenting the mission and goals as well as the achievement and impact of these units on the college community.
At afternoon, research unit complete the celebration by conducting a session about recent researches in nursing which presented by college faculty who recently attained the of master of medical education in addition the Dean‘s session about ethical issues and consideration in research.
An appreciation certificates and plaques were afforded to all participants and representatives for their excellent contribution to the success of this celebration
