He is the editor-in-chief of the Journal of International Insight of Nursing, published by the College of Nursing at KSU. As co-founder and vice president of the Saudi Nurses Association, and former chairman of the Nursing Board at the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS), he played a vital role in establishing postgraduate nursing diploma programs that paved the way for professional master’s degrees. He was also instrumental in founding the PhD in Nursing program at KSU. Professor Aboshaiqah is a member of various advisory boards, including at King Abdulaziz University, Al Rayan Colleges, and the Academic Quality Assessors Boardat King Saud University and as a part-time consultant for the Education and TrainingEvaluation Commission. Dr. Saud Al Turki chairman of the Advanced Trauma Life Support in Saudi Arabia since 1991 and previously executive director of the academic affairs of King Abdulaziz Medical City, Riyadh. The first appointed Chief of the Region for the MENA – Region 17 representing the American College of Surgeons activities in education in the region. The founder & CEO of the Academy of Sciences, which was established in 2018 and today, it’s the leading medical education institute in the Kingdom. Vast experience in education, and teaching with interest in the technology where he was the first in the country to develop VR (Virtual Reality) educational courses. It contains some assessment tools as well as certification through recognized different local and international bodies. The courses that he developed include First Responder Course, CPR for the Saudi Heart Association, Police Investigation VR Program, OSCE Exam for Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (prototype), and recently developed a prototype for a safety course which is the Slip, Trips, and Falls.

Dr. Nasreen Abdulmannan

Dr. Nasreen Ibrahim Abdulmannan holds a Ph.D. in Women’s Health and Midwifery from the Catholic University of America and a Master’s in Clinical Nurse Specialist/Women’s Health from Johns Hopkins University. She is a licensed and certified Women’s Health Consultant in Saudi Arabia, Virginia, Maryland, and Washington D.C. Currently, she serves as an Assistant Professor and Chair of the Faculty Enhancement and Development Unit at King Saud Bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences. With over 20 years of experience in labor and delivery, midwifery, and clinical education, Dr. Abdulmannan has made significant contributions to nursing academia in both Saudi Arabia and the U.S., including teaching roles at Howard University, Trinity University, and NOVA. She is actively involved in professional organizations such as AWHONN and the National League for Nursing. Her work continues to shape the future of nursing through leadership, research, and a deep commitment to women’s health and midwifery.
