with real-world nursing practice. It oversees the integration of clinical training,
simulation, and internships, ensuring learners receive comprehensive, hands-on
learning experiences that prepare them to excel in diverse healthcare environments.

Location

The clinical simulation laboratory (CSL) is located on the second floor of the College of Nursing building.

Layout

Simulates a hospital setting fully equipped to practice all relevant clinical skills.

Internship Program


Purpose



Goals of the Internship Program
  • Expand the interns’ understanding of the structure, scope, and services of real practice settings.
  • Consolidate previously learned knowledge, skills, and attitudes related to professional nursing practice.
  • Orient the interns about the different professional nurse roles & responsibilities.
More Goals
  • Facilitate the transition of interns’ performance from supervised to independent and functional professional practice.
  • Prepare interns effectively for future full-time employment and related workplace/professional requirements.
  • Explore interns’ career interest and employment preferences in order to prepare them accordingly.
